Twin Falls Guest Testimonials and Reviews

A note from Ian and Yolanda, these testimonials are mostly directly from our guest book which resides in the "barn" and other reviews. We just wish we had a guest book from the very beginning - now that would have been incredible!

Some evenings, Yolanda, the owner, prepares Chinese meals for the guests who like to make a booking. This is definitely a recommendation. The food is amazing and we had several late-night conversations at the dinner table.

We introduced Yolanda earlier as a great chef, and together with her husband Ian, they make wonderful hosts. Throughout our stay, it regularly surprised us how they find the time to keep the resort in order, cook meals, maintain trails, and still have drinks and long talks with their guests as if it’s the only thing they do. If it would one day turn out that they have a hidden army of minions, it wouldn’t surprise us a single bit.

Twin Falls is quite unique in the sense that it manages to cater to many different needs. If you like a social setting or rather a quiet natural setting, you’ll find it here. If you like to rough it in a tent, stay comfortably in your own camper, or get pampered in a B&B, it’s all on the list of possibilities.

"Your swimming pool saved our marriage" (!)

Such an awesome place! Nude forest walking, happy hour by the fire or a dip in their beautiful pool. Perfect combination of getting back to nature and meeting lovely people. Been going here for 8 years and still can’t get enough. The owners care about sustainability and promoting a safe social environment. Perfect for newbies to nudism or seasoned pros. Take your fridge or esky and your favourite book. They have a massive shelter with bbqs and plenty of powered sites if you aren’t self sufficient. I usually car camp with a little tent and an esky. Rainforest, waterfalls and lots of cool birds. Heaven!

Had the most relaxing weekend of camping ever. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, who go out of their way to make you welcome. I'll be back at the 1st opportunity!

Yolanda and Ian, I can't think of anywhere better than to start my book!!!! The ideas have been stimulated by Nature, freedom & fantasic hospitality. Millions of thanks for your peaceful respite from the madness of what some might call the "real world"?
Ron.

To Ian and Yolanda. March 2017.
My first extended stay at Twin Falls.
Fantastic
You are great hosts and I don't think I have relaxed so well before.
Why has it taken me so many years to explore Naturism? You have made it a great experience for me. I hope to return before the end of this year. Thank you for allowing me to visit your wonderful retreat.
Arnold - Dunbogan.

We only made a day visit, having heard that this one a "naturist place we should see." As other travelers have noted, the journey in on the 3 km dirt track was a bit of a challenge in our little, rented Hyundai but given the dry weather conditions, we never seriously worried about getting stuck.

Once you arrive, you find a peaceful little valley with lots of space to enjoy in the wilderness au naturel, including a couple walking trails that lead you into the rain forest. We particularly enjoyed the owners, Ian and Yolanda, who sat with us for a while during lunch on the veranda - with a meal beautifully prepared by Yolanda. There was only one other guest during our visit in the days before Christmas, so things were pretty laid-back.

There are a couple of rental units which look to be modern and well appointed, and plenty of space for camping. Seems this place has quite a strong following as they were already busy preparing for the upcoming New Years Eve party. Maybe not the best home base if you're looking for an outpost for sight-seeing, but a really good bet if you simply want a few quiet days in a truly beautiful place - along with the modern amenities for comfort. Stayed December 2016, travelled as a couple

As a regular solo traveller I have visited Twin Falls on numerous occasions over the past 10 or so years and have always been made welcome by Mr & Mrs Nudie, aka Ian and Yolanda. Each visit sees more improvements to the area and to quote Darryl Kerrigan from "the Castle" you can feel the serenity, often waking to find the area full of quokka type kangaroos, while whip birds are making their unique sound.

Simply the best! I'm now a very regular visitor to Twin Falls because it is such a relaxing and beautiful environment and hosts Ian and Yolanda are truly the happiest and most welcoming of couples. I've met some lovely people there. The only problem is that once I'm there, I don't want to leave!
I usually camp, but I stayed in the B+B when it was too cold to camp and I thoroughly recommend it. Comfortable, amiable, cozy and Yolanda is the most amazing cook. Even mid-winter the large deck area was a good place to soak up some warm sunshine.
The track in is rough but manageable most of the time even for the average car. The camp grounds in the rainforest clearing are totally secluded and private, with a pool area and rustic barn for socialising.
Nigel

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Amiable hosts. The drive along the track is challenging but not a big deal except maybe for Porsches towing caravans. I went for runs down to the bitumen ,about 3 kms and actually the track was good to run on. You need to be well sorted before you arrive. The shops are a long way away ie about 30 kms to Wauchope. Also sort out if you will be doing b and b, self sufficient camping or renting the quaint old rustic cabin.
Chris

A lovely secluded bush retreat that has a camping ground with pool. There are also two B&B Rooms. Dinner is available. For our first ever visit to a nudist retreat we found the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. Hosts Ian and Yolanda were great company to share a meal and evening chat with. Yolanda prepares a wonderful chinese meal. The B&B rooms are comfortable and clean, with sliding doors opening out to a large sun deck. A very nice spot to enjoy breakfast as the sun comes up.
If you are camping, take plenty of supplies, its a slow trip back to town to restock ! All up well worth a couple of days just to unwind and shed more than the stresses of city living. If you have never been to a nudist retreat before but want to try - this is a good place to start.
Geoff

A beautiful quiet, secluded spot where you can get way from it all. All you hear are the sounds of the bush. It is not near anything (not even shops), so not a place to use as a base for sightseeing. The hosts are very welcoming. Lots of interesting birds and other critters.
Mick

We stayed in the rustic log cabin with all the basic amenities one needs for a quiet and relaxed retreat from the bustle of urban life. The camping area is serene, spacious and features well manicured lawns, a lovely pool and spacious rec room yet bordered by magnificent trees and a babbling creek - it was heaven. The homestead included guest accommodation for those who wished for a more pampered stay. Meals are available and Yollande's catering is excellent. It is a naturists delight. The rural access road is adequate for vehicles with good ground clearance. Lower sedans require driver diligence and care at some spots. The destination is a rare treat and worth the effort. We will be back.

Hosts Ian and Yolanda made us feel at home. This is away from the traffic noises and in the beautiful hinterlands. Well worth the trip. Will be back again for more RnR.

I recently had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Twin Falls Nature Retreat. The cabin I stayed in was very comfortable and the surroundings were scenic, peaceful and relaxing. The hosts, Ian and Yolanda, are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. They both went "above and beyond" to ensure that I enjoyed my stay from the moment I arrived until the time that I sadly had to leave. I sincerely look forward to visiting Twin Falls again ASAP.
Ken

We've stayed here a number of times over the years and we love it. For those considering going well here's a few things about the place to help decide. The place isn't clothing optional its nude, it means unless weather dictates otherwise you don't wear clothes. If you feel this may be an issue for you or other members of your group perhaps this isn't the place for you. While this may seem "harsh" we, as well as others we've traveled with, find it's actually a benefit as it levels the playing field resulting in a more comfortable environment especially for first timers. The place has a driveway that's un-paved. Unless your driving a lowered fully sick doof doof mobile in good weather you shouldn't have an issue either with access or loud thumping music emanating from a lowered fully sick doof doof mobile. For those of you with an SUV or better think about heading there via the southern end of Toms Creek Road as it a great country drive.

The hosts, Ian and Yolanda are great people and it has to be said that Yolanda Chinese cooking is brilliant. The facilities are well maintained and the BnB rooms are clean with comfortable beds. If you choose to camp you'll find the sites to be excellent. The additional facilities like pool and barn provide additional comforts for those camping and its location, surrounded by a rainforest makes for a spectacular stay. Our last visit there included New Year's Eve festivities and we'd suggest you think about these, there also the added benefit that you get to answer the inevitable "how did you see in the new year?" Question with "dancing naked in a rainforest".
