activities for guests

One of the best things to do is go for a walk! We have several walking trails available depending on just how much walking you like to do!

Walks:

Top Falls Walk

Takes about 20 minutes one way. The most scenic track on the place! A couple of hills but negotiable for most people, can be walked in thongs. (and of course nothing else!!) Takes you into and through our Rainforest. The rainforest here has been classed as a warm temperate rainforest and has been identified to be of high conservation significance with over 80 species of plants identified along just the walking track!

Some plants are also of a tropical nature – however, no one seems to know their origins! (I suspect the birds might have dropped some little pre-fertilised seed packages!) Please stay on the walking trails and try not to damage any of the plantlife.

As the name suggests – the track takes you to what we call the Top Falls and the rockpool. Please be careful at the rockpool, as the rocks become rather slippery when wet or if you get your shoes wet. Rather pleasant after a long walk on a hot summers day!

Naturally the water flow over the falls is related to how much rain we have had (or these days haven't had!)...

Ridge Walk

This walk gets rather vertical for about 200metres (go through the walk gate at the top) and follow the track to the right and then becomes a pleasant walk along the top boundary track. Take a packed lunch! (And something to drink) Total distance from walk sign is 1.7km to both Boundary gates and then back again. (3.4km in total)

Please Note:

You are not permitted to go off our property without clothing. There are signs on the boundary gates to let you know that you are leaving Twin Falls.

Forest Walk

This walk is relatively short at the moment, (basically it is an access track which parallels a rain creek) however, it probably will eventually join up to the bottom of the camping grounds down behind the cabin. tree fern

Little Ridge Walk

Branches off along the Falls walk and parallels the Top Falls creek for a while and then branches off to the South and eventually stops at the east - west boundary fence. Fairly steep for a while... nude walking in the forest
